How to Play

1. Select a Track

Choose a track from the menu. Your goal is to beat the Bronze, Silver, and Gold medal times.

2. Learn the Racing Line

Use the WASD or Arrow Keys to drive your car. Follow the faint blue "racing line" on the track to learn the fastest path.

3. Accelerate and Brake

Hold 'W' or the Up Arrow to accelerate. Use 'S' or the Down Arrow to brake before sharp turns to maintain control and stay on the ideal line.

4. Set Your Best Time

Complete three laps. Your fastest lap is the one that counts. Race against your own ghost to see where you can improve and shave off precious time!

"Slow In, Fast Out"

This is a fundamental racing principle that is crucial in PolyTrack. Brake *before* you enter a corner so you can get back on the accelerator as early as possible at the corner's apex. This will maximize your exit speed and is much faster than braking late and struggling for grip.

Use All of the Track

Don't just stick to the middle. The fastest line often involves using the full width of the track. Approach corners from the outside edge, cut close to the inside corner (the apex), and accelerate out towards the outside edge again. This straightens the corner and maintains your momentum.
